1. What This Covers

These terms govern your use of Remi, an AI workspace platform operated by Remi AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you are using Remi on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. What Remi Does

Remi provides a team AI workspace where your users can:

  • Chat with AI that searches the web, retrieves information from your documents, and connects to your business tools
  • Upload and manage documents that the AI can reference with citations
  • Connect integrations (project management, CRM, accounting software) that the AI can interact with
  • Manage users, roles, and permissions within workspaces
  • Track usage and costs across your team

3. Accounts and Workspaces

  • You need a valid email address to create an account
  • Each account can have multiple workspaces
  • You are responsible for who you invite and any activity under your account
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Your Data

You own your data. Documents you upload, messages you send, facts you store, and any other content you put into Remi remains yours.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data
  • We do not use your data to train AI models
  • We do not share your data with other Remi customers

Where your data is stored

Your database, file storage, and vector database infrastructure is hosted exclusively in the EU. When prompts are sent to AI providers for response generation, data may be processed on US-based servers. This is the only circumstance in which your data leaves the EU. See our Privacy Policy for a full breakdown.

How we process your data

When you send a message, Remi may route your prompt and relevant document context to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) via OpenRouter. These providers generate a response and do not retain your data for training.

Document processing

When you upload a document, we extract text and create vector embeddings (mathematical representations) stored in our vector database. This allows the AI to search and cite your documents. The original file is stored in encrypted object storage.

5. What You Can and Cannot Do

You can:

  • Use Remi for your legitimate business purposes
  • Upload documents you have the right to use
  • Connect integrations you are authorised to access
  • Export your data at any time

You cannot:

  • Use Remi for anything illegal
  • Upload content you don't have rights to
  • Attempt to access other customers' data or workspaces
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform
  • Use Remi to generate harmful, discriminatory, or illegal content
  • Resell access without our written agreement
  • Deliberately circumvent usage limits or credit systems

6. AI Limitations

Remi uses large language models to generate responses.

  • AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI outputs before acting on them
  • AI responses are not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice
  • When Remi cites your documents, verify citations against the originals

7. Credits and Billing

  • Remi uses a credit-based system. Your subscription tier determines your credit allowance.
  • Credits are consumed when the AI processes requests, based on the model and input/output volume.
  • Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods unless stated otherwise.
  • We will notify you when credits are running low.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
  • All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

8. Service Availability

  • We aim to keep Remi available and reliable but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
  • We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice where possible.
  • We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (AI providers, hosting, integrations).

9. Termination

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • On cancellation, you have 30 days to export your data. After that, we delete it.
  • We may terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms.

10. Liability

  • Remi is provided "as is." We make no warranties beyond what is stated here.
  • Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including lost profits, lost data beyond our reasonable control, or business interruption.
  • Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-platform notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
