Remi, read and used your way
Everyone reads and works differently, so Remi lets you change how it looks and how it answers. These settings are in Remi on the web, in Remi Desktop and on the phone, and they are saved to your account, so a switch you turn on in one is on in the others. This page lists what works now. When we add more, it will be here too. Open Settings
Text size you choose
Pick Smaller, Default, Larger or Largest in Settings, and every screen follows: the chat, the editor, the tables and the settings themselves. On the phone, Remi uses the text size you set in your phone's own settings first.
Higher contrast
Turn it on and faint grey text goes darker, borders get stronger, and nothing important is left pale. It works in light and in dark. Until you choose, Remi follows the contrast setting on your device.
An easier-to-read font
One switch changes the font across Remi to one with letters that are harder to mix up, like b and d or 1 and l, and with wider spacing between them. Switch it off and the usual font is back.
Less motion
With Less motion on, nothing slides, pulses or fades. Things appear in place. If you have asked your device to reduce motion, Remi does that already without you touching a setting.
Colour is never the only clue
Every status, warning and chart in Remi carries its meaning in a word, a shape or a line as well as a colour. A task is marked Done in writing, not only in green.
A keyboard you can follow
Whatever has keyboard focus shows a clear ring around it, on every button, link and field. Every page starts with a link that skips the sidebar, so you reach the main content with one press of Tab.
How Remi answers you
In Settings you can ask Remi to use plain language, to give you one thing at a time, to lay things out as steps, to say exactly what it means with no figures of speech, and to describe images and charts in words. These choices shape every reply, in every app, from the next message on.
Writing without typing
You can speak to Remi instead of typing, in any chat, document or note. Press the dictation key, talk, and the words appear where your cursor is. Settings › Voice shows your own numbers: how much you have dictated and how much time it saved.
Where these settings work
Text size, contrast, font, motion and how Remi answers are set once and saved to your account. In every app they are under Settings › Accessibility. On the phone, text size follows the size you set in your phone's own settings.
What we are checking next
We are walking through Remi with screen readers and fixing what they find, and we are working on captions for meetings. We have not yet had Remi tested by disabled people outside the team, so we do not make claims about standards here. When that testing has happened, we will say what it found.
Tell us what gets in the way
If something in Remi is hard to read, hard to reach or hard to use, we want to know. Write to us and say which screen and which device, and we will reply.
