Remi CLI

Ask Remi to fix your code from the terminal.

Run remi in any folder and tell it what you need. It reads the code and runs the tests, and before it changes a file it shows you the change and waits for you to say yes. You can leave it running and follow along from your phone or the web, and it works on macOS, Windows and Linux.

In your editor

Remi also runs inside your editor.

In VS Code, the extension opens a Remi chat beside your code with your selection and the file's errors already in it. Zed, JetBrains, Neovim and Emacs run Remi as an agent in their own assistant panels, and it still asks before anything changes.

You sign in by approving a code in your browser.

Run remi login and remiapp.ai opens in your browser with a code on the screen. If it matches the code in your terminal, approve it and you're signed in.

No browser on that machine? Over SSH you get a code to type on another device, and in CI you set REMI_TOKEN.

It runs on a Mac, a Windows PC or a Linux computer, with an Intel, AMD or Arm chip. The installer doesn't need admin rights, or anything else installed first.

Run remi update to get the latest version. It checks the download against the release before it replaces the old version, and when a new version is out, Remi mentions it once a day.

Signing in without a browser

On a machine you reach over SSH, remi login gives you a code to type on any other device. For CI and scripts, set REMI_TOKEN instead.

Run remi logout, then delete the .remi folder in your home directory. That removes the program, your settings and your saved sessions.
